A Memorable Evening

Tonight Craig and Riley had the opportunity to go the the Rangers game or "the baseball place" as Riley would say. Now this ranks in Riley's carefully thought out and explained top four places. Needless to say, he was excited. He even took a nap. When they got there, someone was sitting in their seats but exchanged tickets with them giving them front row seats right behind first base. When you're looking over the camera man's shoulder, you know it is a good seat! Somewhere around the eighth inning the first baseman spotted Riley after making the third out and threw him the ball! From what I understand, they made friends with some college kids around them who bought Riley some ice cream and they generally had an awesome time that both of them will always remember.

Times like these are God's love song to us! Thank you, Lord! Thank you for mockingbirds that fly right into our faces when we go out to water the flowers, singing their varied songs. Thank you for a joyful heart in a child that can reach out to people and make friends and share peanuts. Thank you for a man who reads books with great thirst like "King Me" by Steve Farrar that he knows will challenge him to rise to that which you have called him. And thank you for the little one who is already tucked into bed and sleeping sweetly for he has much to look forward to.

My husband is a man of strength. He opens himself to the Lord and he can rise to anything the Lord calls him and his highest calling is "Daddy".

Riley, Craig, I envy you getting to participate in the baseball experience at Arlington. Go Rangers!

It is so great to have a relationship with our Father, such that He is willing to share with us in the simplest things.

Stop it BA! I'm in Idaho and my in-laws keep wondering why I'm sitting at their computer crying! Steph and I love you guys and I for one burst with pride to call Fish my brother and watch him faithfully live out his calling.
