Some Thoughts on "Dad-ing"
After 1 week as a guest, I'm taking over...for a week or so. I just wanted to use this week to share some of the things I think about all the time in regard to Craig and the boys. I am so blessed to be married to this man and to be a mom of boys. Watching the whole thing unfold every day is just the greatest.
This evening we returned from our D.C. trip/whirlwind. We picked up the boys from "Pishey and Darlin's", and it really touched me how happy they were to see their daddy! Riley had written a note on the computer for Craig and bought him his favorite candy. The note said something about I love you and you stink or some joke that they have between them. Owen saw both of us and chose Daddy's arms to reach for. At dinner Riley kept reaching over and patting Craig on the back. He was simply glad to see him and be in his presence once again! One of the people on our trip asked Craig if he was ready to get home and see those boys today. He answered with a curling smile and a sparkling eye that no other thought puts on his face. What a blessing that is to me.
I am so impressed with this man I have married. I knew I liked him all along, but as God continues to reveal his strength to me through this man I live with I am continually inspired. What a gift of relationship he is giving his boys. They have stuff they laugh about, they talk serious sometimes. They enjoy one another's presence. Thank you, Lord.
