The Tongue

This is the picture of a cow tongue. I used this as a prop at chapel today. I explained today that the tongue is the most powerful weapon ever. I blindfolded a student and laid the weapon in his hands. The kids thought it gross and cool. I reminded them about the importance of how they speak to each other and how important our tongue is in everyday life. I shared with them a verse in Proverbs: "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly...The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit."

I pray that I remember these words as well as I do my job and lead my life.
