A One Day Vacation
Yesterday was like a one day vacation for Beth Ann and I. With the help of my parents watching the boys and with a gift from my staff, we were set to have a great day.
We started with a late breakfast at IHOP. Now don't start thinking I am a cheap date. Beth Ann loves this place and calls it one of her all time favorites.
We went from their to the shops on University and walked around a while. Beth Ann got some new flip flops and we went to Celebrity Bakery for a treat. They have the best cookies in Ft. Worth.
We then cruised through Hulen Mall for a few minutes.
Next we went to see GLORY ROAD. What a great movie. If you have not seen it, go. It is a great story and it is amazing to see how things were just a few years before we were born. One of the best basketball movies of all time.
After the movie, we headed to Sundance Square. We walked around in some of the shops and in the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. That is such a neat place to walk around together.
For dinner we went to P.F. Changs. It was incredible. A couple of appetizers and entrees and we were stuffed. The atmosphere was fun and the food was wonderful.
To top off our day we then walked over to Bass Hall for the Bonnie Raitt concert. She was outstanding. She has one of the greatest female voices. She has great stage presence and can truly put on a show. She could have sang for two more hours and no one would have left. It was one of the best concerts I have ever experienced. We love James Taylor and go see him every time we can. Bonnie Raitt is now the same way for us. Her band is awesome and added so much to the concert. I don't think Bass Hall has ever quite rocked like it did last night.
Thank you to my parents for helping with the boys so we could enjoy our one day vacation. Thank you to the staff and faculty at SCS for the dinner and concert as a gift. Thank you to Beth Ann for being on my arm all day for a wonderful time.

What a date. This is not a date at all, really. This is an excursion. Way to go!
