The Chili's Experience
We started celebrating Beth Ann's birthday the night before by going as a family to Chili's for dinner. That is a place the whole family loves. We met there Sunday night to enjoy some time together. Riley loves their marinara pasta (remember that for later) so that is what he ordered. He really wanted a chocolate shake (remember that for later) to go with his meal. One of my favorite things about Chili's is their chips and salsa so we started out our meal with an order (remember that as well).
Things were going great. The chips and salsa came and we were munching away. Happy times. Within just a couple of minutes of receiving his chocolate milkshake, Riley had it finished. He asked if he could have another and I told him one was enough and he could drink water. Conversation continued. Good times. Our meal came and we all started eating.
We neared the end of the meal and Riley had eaten less than he normally does. Beth Ann asked if he was feeling ok. He said yes. We asked for a box to take home leftovers. As I was paying the check Beth Ann asked Riley again how he was feeling. Once again he said fine. As I turned to ask him he threw up all over the table. I was trying to balance money in my hand and helping him. As I got up so he could get up he threw up where I was sitting which got all over him. He then threw up on the table again and then we grabbed the basket of fries and he threw up in there. (Refer to the first paragraph and read what he ate). Owen was watching with amazement. Others in Chili's were attempting to eat but were challenged by the events. Beth Ann took Riley to the restroom to try to clean him up. The manager brought me towels to clean the table up. Gross. We then took Riley outside stripped him down to his underwear and put him in the car. It was an awful experience for him.
As we were cleaning him up Riley told his mom that he was sorry because he embarrassed us. She explained that he did not embarrass us. It broke our heart that he thought that.
It was quite an experience. It is one we will never forget. I love my family and can never be embarrassed by them.

Great story. As I read it I laughed, cried and I think I threw up a little in my mouth.
So sweet of Riley to be concerned that he embarrassed you. He's got a great heart. Hope he is feeling better.
