Keeping everybody happy
Do you feel the pressure to try to keep everyone happy? I unfortunately struggle with that. I know that it is impossible but I still get caught in the cycle of trying to do it and thinking it is possible.
In my job I want to be the best principal that I can be. I want God to guide me as a leader. I know that I want to walk in His path but I continue to succumb to worry and the desire for approval addiction.
One of my prayers at the beginning of this school year is to get better at this, to not get caught up in this worry game. I will be posting class lists next week. This is always coupled with great anticipation. I am feeling the pressure of trying to keep everybody happy and with 400+ students there is no way. Please pray that this important step next week be a smooth process and that I continue to fight through fear and remind myself that God is in control.
How do others deal with this kind of stuff?

Mr. Fisher,
When you work for a church you never have to deal with this. You just keep God first and besides, all the people who go to church are always so uplifting and encouraging. They only argue about who gets to submit first when there is a disagreement. Sorry I can't relate with this blog...YEAH, RIGHT!
We've talked about the similarities of our jobs before. It is a constant struggle! Let's keep praying for each other.
