Last week

Every day can have challenges. Some days are better than other and some weeks are better than others. Amidst a week of challenges I had a bright spot last week that was a blessing. At different points during the week I was able to see all 3 of my college roommates. I typically do not get to see these guys very much. With Brandon in Nashville and Chris in Frisco, we can go for a very long time in between visits. Even with Stephen in Hurst there can be big gaps in our opportunities to see one another. But last week was different. I was able to spend some time with Brandon and Stephen in Abilene on Tuesday night. After Lectureship we went to Taco Bueno and caught up for a couple of hours. It was great to spend some time laughing and sharing. Then on Saturday I received a surprise phone call from Chris. He was about 5 miles from my house buying a car. He was able to come by for a few minutes. What a blessing that was for me. All in one week I was able to see 3 guys that are true friends and brothers to me. In a week that was truly challenging a bright spot came from my friends.
