The Book Fair
My school completed our fall Book Fair last week. Our library changes from its regular set-up to one of a store. Shelves and tables are full of books, software, posters, pen, pencils and other exciting entertainment items. The kids are so excited to shop. They get to fill out wish lists. They get the opportunity to shop during the day and before or after school with their parents.
There is something invigorating about the Book Fair. I even get caught up in the excitement. It brings back memories of childhood and going to Book Fairs or a book store. I think Riley will have those memories as well. He was fascinated with the Fair and loved his opportunity to shop.
Any Book Fair memories for you?

Book fair memories...loved the choices and the whole experience. In fact, there was one book called, "How to Survive Anonymous Letters" that made a great impact on me as a small child.

Oh, yes....what memories...mainly of running the book fair:
Watching teachers getting as excited as the kids.
Seeing everyone fulfill their Christmas lists with books
Knowing that there were hundreds of books there that would wind up in my library and cheap
Savoring my life-long dream of running a book store and seeing others get the charge out of buying books that I get in every book store.
