A Tribute to Fort Worth Police Officers

The last few days I have been at Harris Hospital quite a bit. One of my employees was in a bad motorcycle accident. After surgery and a stay in ICU he is doing better. As I have been down at the hospital with he and his family I have witnessed the ongoings with the situation regarding the policeman that was shot in the line of duty this week.

Seeing the amount of fellow police officers that were there in support of their comrade was incredible to see. The community that they represent is impressive. The way that they are there for each other is invaluable.

Watching this officer's family and friends as they prayed and waited was difficult. Witnessing the raw emotion from so many was tough, but to see the support that was offered was something I will never forget.

Thank you to those who serve as peace officers. You are brave men and women. I thank you for what you do.

I would like to add my appreciation--we've been watching this story, too--very sad ending.

His kids went to our ARK School, hiw wife to our ladies retreat, and they were neighbors to one ofour young families... So sad and our folks are lamenting.
