That Place for Me
What a fun weekend. More on that in the next few days.
On Friday I rode out to Abilene with two college roommates. They had actual business to attend to in Abilene and I went along to be able to hang out with them some. There were a couple of times that I was on the ACU campus walking around by myself. We did go to chapel on Friday and walk around campus some together as well, but during those times by myself it felt different. I love being on that campus. It feels so good. There are so many positive and fun memories that come rushing back as I am there. It was a blessing to have some time just for a simple stroll from building to building. I turned on a little music on my Dell DJ Ditty and just wandered.
I am thankful for the time I had this weekend. Thankful for the people that I was with in Abilene. I love being back there and how it makes me feel. It is one of those places that I can feel close to God and celebrate what He has done in my life.

Well, I'm glad I find out TODAY that you were on campus on Friday! I'd bought your lunch (on ACU of course) if I'd known you were going to be here. It's a different campus today than it was in 1988-1992 isn't it!

it's funny--there are PLACES and there are SCENARIOS. Places include the glassed in back porch at my parents' old house, the quiet place in the ACU Bible Building, and the auditorium at Lake Highlands.
Scenarios include--being anywhere with you, Stephen and Chris. We are blessed.
