My Little Sheep

******WARNING, PROUD FATHER ALERT******

This was a big weekend for the Fisher family, especially Riley. Friday morning he was in the SCS elementary show for Grandparents' Day. The show was titled, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. He did great. His mom and I, and both sets of grandparents were there to watch Riley in the show.

Friday night and twice on Saturday Riley was in the SCS prep school musical. The show was ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. He played a sheep in the show. He and thirteen other elementary students were cast as sheep. They were in a scene where the princess was counting sheep as she was trying to go to sleep. Riley lead the group out on stage. They had a group dance and then broke into pairs for a few moments and then exited the stage. The crowd went crazy each performance for the sheep. They added a lot to the scene and the overall show.

It was so amazing to sit in the audience and watch Riley. He had so much fun. He enjoyed being on stage. He enjoyed being with older elementary students. He thought it was neat to be around the high school students. I was so proud of him. It was an emotional experience for his dad. It really got me. I did not know if it would or not, but it did.

He got some autographs from the high school actors after the show. They were very sweet to him. He will cherish his playbill forever. He loved the director. She did a marvelous job. She was superb with the elementary students as she always took time to teach, encourage, answer questions or give hugs. Riley made a new friend for life.

My little sheep did a great job.

AMEN, Beth Ann. We feel that way all the time. I would have LOVBED to have seen Riley. I know he was the perfect sheep. And...of course he loves being on stage. He's the son of two performers! Now all you have to do is teach him how to Hip Hop dance, Fish.
