Memphis...Kansas
Monday night, Memphis vs. Kansas, Final Four, Final game, Wow!
My two favorite college basketball teams. One is where I grew up. I have watched and kept up with Memphis basketball since I can remember. Penny Hardaway, Keith Lee, Baskerville Holmes, Larry Finch, Derek Rose, etc. The other is a team that is one of the most storied programs in the country. KU is very close to where my wife grew up. I have been going to KU games since we started dating. Following those teams and players has been a blast. Paul Pierce, Danny Manning, Raef LaFrentz, Mario Chalmers, etc.
I am pumped because one of my two favorite teams is going to win a National Championship. One will lose though.
I guess I can root for the blue team.
Both are deserving. Both have won games that they were not picked to win. Two great coaches. Exciting basketball.
I am a house divided. 50-50 fro each team. Tigers and Jayhawks.
It is gonna be fun.

The Tar Heels broke my heart twice on Saturday. The nightmarish start left me feeling numb. Then, the near come back (just to toy with me) only to leave me frustrated and disappointed again. Kansas was awesome! But, so was Memphis. I hope it's as exciting a game as it looks like it should be. Next year, North Carolina vs. Kentucky in the finals. Then I can know what you are feeling like today.

It has been a long time since I've been able to convince our computer to let me comment, but now that I have another email address...yay!
Can I just say that catching up on reading your posts gives me lots of tears because it's a lot of Cyndi at once and I love her so much. And it reminds me with a huge smile how much I love you and how blessed I am to share life with someone with so many interests and who is so much fun and who is interested in me. Here's to you babe!

The best team definitely won on Monday. It has been one constant party here now for a week! Toots wore KU shoes and clothing to school (even with dress codes,YIKES).... She's running in a marathon in a couple of weeks at the OKC Memorial Bombing. I believe she'll be sporting a Jayhawk shirt among those OKIES. Sorry that March Madness is over.
