Why?
Sometimes I just wonder why things have to happen the way they do. Do you do that? Is that normal? Life can be complicating and tiring at times. I try to find the good in all situations, but it is difficult at times. I have one aunt in Tennessee that just found out that she has cancer and she is doing chemo and radiation. Tough on her and her family. Tough on the rest of the family. I have another aunt that is in Kansas and in the time of just a few hours she went from having a bad cough, to not being able to breathe, to finding out she has cancer. I also found out yesterday that a dear sweet lady that worked for me in Ft. Worth (since retired) passed away during a minor surgery. She lives in Oman now and had surgery in Bahrain. I believe I am supposed to speak at her funeral. Lots of bad news in a short amount of time.
Do you sometimes ask why?

If you've never asked "why?", you haven't lived very long. Asking "why?" is biblical. By doing so you're following in the footsteps of some of the greatest people in history from David to Paul. The trick is to hold onto faith when you get no answer to your "why?" question. If you have any advice on the best way to do that, give me a call. Sorry for your loss and will pray today for those you love that are suffering.

I do ask why. I agree with the other commenter, everybody does at some point. I had a grandfather (paternal) that went into the hospital for minor breathing problems, they found cancer and one week later he was gone. I was 5 months pregnant with Walker at the time.
At these times, you really struggle, but it is struggling that makes you strong. I was reading on another person's blog (Katherine Gould from SCS) and she was quoting from a book, I don't know the title of the book, but the title of the blog was "Your Misery Will Be Your Ministry". They were basically saying you go through some hellacious stuff, but the scars are good and its with these scars that you are able to relate to others, and teach them. There was a great verse-
"And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory of Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. ~1 Peter 5:10

Tonight Randy Harris vocalized what I have not been able to. Through so much crap I have not really been one to ask "Why me." What he pointed out was that in scripture the repetitive lament is "How long, oh Lord. How long?" Our hope lies in the point where we stop asking "when" and God finally answers, "now."

David did it all the time--Yes, I do. However, the ultimate answer awaits.

I ask it everyday but no answers. Still trusting (most of the time) and believing that someday my questions will be answered...and all will be clear...but will it still be so importamt for me to know?
