Those Food Shows
As all three of you know, I am a very picky eater. There are not many vegetables that are a part of my diet. I am a meat and potatoes man. I know what I like. I don't like mustard, onions, mayo, most things that are green, casseroles, and many other things.
What I find as strange is that I continually find myself enjoying more and more food shows. The Food Network, Travel Channel and other cable networks televise some great shows. I did not think I would ever enjoy watching cooking shows. Especially when they are cooking things I would never eat. Maybe this is a sign that I have become an old man. They cook some interesting stuff. There are some neat restaurants all over the world that are showcased. There are some extremely bizarre foods that no one should, but they do.
Maybe these shows will rub off on me and I will start eating some mustard/onion/crab salad. I doubt it.
Do you watch these shows too?

I, too, am a picky eater. I hate tomatoes, ALL seafoods & other "water bugs", however, I LOVE Iron Chef!!! I often have to turn my head away or I'll vomit, but I think that is exactly WHY I like to watch.
BTW - If you see a recipe for "sweetbread" it is NOT a sugary pastry!!!!!

I had to weight in on this one. I LOVE Food Network, and it has made me a much better cook. I don't try a lot of new things, but there is something about seeing it cooked, that makes me more willing to try something.
I love Everyday Italian (Giada De Laurentis show) and anything from Tyler Florence.
