Thanksgiving Times
We had a blessed Thanksgiving this year. Here are a few things that we did and other things that remind us of being thankful:
We left Tuesday after school and drove to Ft. Worth. It has been 12 years or more that I had school on the Monday and Tuesday of the week of Thanksgiving. We spent two nights with my mom and dad. The boys had a blast playing with Pishey and Darlin. We also spent some time at my sister's house. It was a great time fro us to spend some time back with our family in FW.
Living in Abilene makes us miss the variety of restaurants in the metroplex. I know that we will take advantage of some of our favorites we miss when we go back. This time Beth Ann and I ate at La Playa Maya on Tuesday night, I had Pei Wei for lunch on Wednesday (a definite favorite) and then we all went to Salt Grass on Wednesday night fro dinner. Three wonderful meals.
I got to see two great friends during my time off. On Wednesday I spent a couple of hours with Shane Naterman at Starbucks. We caught up about our jobs, families, life and friendship. I also was able to see Joey Richards when we got back to Abilene on Saturday. His family stopped by for a while before they headed back to Cleburne. These are two great men that I miss very much so when I can spend time with them it is a blessing to me.
Thursday morning we went to my brother-in-law and sister's ranch near Graford. We spent two nights and enjoyed some great time with our entire family. Eating great meals, watching deer, riding four-wheelers, hanging by the fire pit, sitting in the deerblind, watching my boys play and be excited, watching movies, reading and taking naps. As you can see plenty of great things while we were there.
We ended our break with about 5 inches of snow on Sunday. It was beautiful and a great way to end the week. The kids even got to start school late on Monday.

You are not in our good graces this morning! As a matter of fact, you've probably had the last lemon pie you'll ever get from me!
But, we did have a great Thanksgiving, didn't we!!!!!!!!!
Love, Mom
