Our Spotter
A part of being at the race this past weekend that makes it exciting is renting a scanner that allows you to hear drivers, crew chiefs and spotters communicate. As the drivers are making their way through the race, the scanners allow us to be able to hear them plan for pit stops and ways to make the car better. Each driver also has a spotter that is perched on top of the grandstand boxes. His job is to communicate to the driver about the traffic that is around him. You will hear them saying, "Inside, Inside, clear", as a driver is passing someone. They let them know what cars are close to them to help them avoid wrecks. When a wreck happens in front of the driver, the spotters will tell the drivers to stay high or low to avoid the wreck.
It made me realize we have a spotter in our daily race. God is our spotter. He will tell us what is going on around us. He will guide us through messes as they fall a part in front of us. We can talk to Him and ask questions about the best strategy. Sometimes we can be stubborn and do it our way. We may not listen to our Spotter and get in a wreck. He helps pave the way for us so we can be victorious. As our Spotter, He wants the best for us.
I want to put my headset on each day and listen to Him spot for me and my family, my job, my life. Thank you, God, for watching over me.

I'm also glad you got to go. Are you considering becoming a driver? I mean first it was juggling for Jesus...so who knows? Maybe you could be a racer for righteousness? Son't worry, I'll keep working on something catchy and a nice red cape that you can wear. You could be like Bible Man!!!
